Five Shoot Locations I LOVE for Engagement Sessions
Capturing love is my thing but capturing love in spaces I love is eeeeeeven better. I offer help with creative direction to all of my clients so I’m here to plug you in on the top five shoot locations that I LOVE (in no specific order).
1.American Tobacco Campus (Durham, NC)
if you love industrial vibes this is the perfect place for you! Located right in Downtown Durham, American Tobacco Campus is not only a gorgeous place to shoot- you can plan a super cute date night after your photo session at one of the many amazing food spots in the city (Boricua Soul being one of my favorites!)
2.NC Museum of Art (Raleigh, NC)
This is one of my absolute favorites for so many reasons! It’s an art museum so obviously the architecture is on point and there’s soooo many different backdrops to choose from. You can dress this location up or down, whatever you choose, it will be a perfect space for your look. Speaking of dates, this is another location that can double as a session location + date spot!
3. Downtown Durham
The Bullcity is known for it’s historic industrial charm. From the old tobacco buildings to the newer designed hotels, Downtown offers a variety of options. I have done so many sessions in downtown but one never looks the same as the other. We might get a few extra steps in for this option but it’s totally worth it!
4. Union Station/The Dillon (Raleigh, NC)
Skyline views? It’s a yes for me! The Dillion offers a beautiful backdrop of downtown Raleigh. Right across the street is Union Station which offers a sleek modern backdrop with lots of opportunities for creative shots. My one hour session allows for an outfit change so this is a perfect place to dress it up and dress it down with two very different backdrops in your reach.
One time for the “Love Rules” installation! We all love a photo op with this backdrop because after all, love does in fact rule.
5. Lake Crabtree (Morrisville, NC)
I loveeeee a good nature spot. My signature shots always have some type of leaves or flowers in them so being in a space where the options are unlimited really fuels my creativity! Lake Crabtree has the cutest lighthouse, a small sanded beach area & stunning water views. No matter what time of year it is, this park always gives what it’s supposed to!
