Is it just me or did December come lightening fast?! During the first week of December I spent a few days in New York to attend the “A Call For Peace” premiere viewing. If you read my previous post then you got a little bit of background information about the documentary and how I became involved. (Take a minute to view the official trailer if you’d like to learn more).
‘A Call for Peace in partnership with The Permanent Missions of Colombia, Norway, the European Union and UNITAR’ held their premiere event at the United Nations headquarters in the ECOSOC Chamber. It was followed by a Q&A panel and VIP cocktail reception. There were special guests such as President Juan Manuel Santos and William Ury who were also participants in the documentary.
I was very excited to see what Producer/Director Melodie and Filmmaker Juan Carlos had created after witnessing their hard work during the Harvard interviews. I truly support and respect their mission and dedication to international peace.
As I watched the documentary I was very impressed with the content and how educational it was. I was also pleased to see my still photography shots from our time at Harvard were included in the film. My photos were also featured in the event booklet that was given to all show attendees. This was a notable moment for Art By Court Winter and I am so thankful to be a part of a great team. Check out this highlight video to see how my work was featured throughout the event!!
The film will continue having private showings with institutions around the world. This will also be a part of an online educational tool. To keep up with ACFP be sure to visit www.acallforpeace.org and “LIKE” A Call For Peace on Facebook at www.facebook.com/acall4peace.
